HAPPY 2012!
I rang in the new year with a stethoscope around my neck, a sparkling cider toast and along with some of my favorite coworkers as we watched the clock dwindle down to the last seconds of 2011. I wished for a healthy year, a year for my Sister in Law and Husband to being home a baby, my sister to graduate from OSUand dammit to win the lottery. Holy Skittles over the rainbow would that not just be awesome!? I’m going with the “glass half full” game plan on that one- HA
With the New Year came a new diet. I’ve thrown in the towel to crash diets that shed pounds fast but then the second I look at a big cupcake, my pants don’t fit. Granted I have lost a good amount, I want to learn healthy long term eating. SO I signed up for Weight Watchers and I am actually doing the meetings- plan on hearing this new journey of mine. But this also means meal planning and grocery shopping ahead of time- something I can’t seem to get a grasp on previously. But don’t you all worry friends, my coupon virgin cherry has been popped (note picture above) I am damn well determined to make couponing a game to me which in hope inspires me to cook?! Hmmm… maybe. Because I’ll have an over abundance of food and ingredients and no excuses. Again, here I am rambling trying to convince myself I can be domestic.
I’ll report back after my first run.
And as the past 2 years, Chris and I restarted the Couch 2 5K program. I really am doing it to add my cookies, cupcakes and beer into my points since the more you work out- the more points you get. Come on, I am not the only one….
I worked the first 3 nights of the New Year, plus the last 2 of last year- giving me 5 nights in a row- 60 hours in 5 days. I was just DYING to spend time with Chris and CC. No he’s not walking yet- but very soon.
And Florida got one kick ass cold snap. The kind that left me shivering getting out of the shower, wearing scarves for warmth not fashion and frost on my car when I left work in the AM. I love that CC crawled up into his Any Wear Chair from PB with a throw to keep warm while watching Mickey.
I just love the freshness a New Year brings. New health, great weather and the hope that 2012 brings to my family and to all families needing a good year to find them.

Good with your new diet, weight watchers, couponing, and better eating!!! You can definitely do it, it will just take time. You can do it!!! Cannot wait to hear how this née journey goes for you. Best of luck!!!!
I've been doing weight watchers for the same reasons and LOVE IT! I've lost 20 lbs and am healthier then ever before, it's really a great program that can teach your kids something too.
I've done weight watchers on and off for years and it works. It really does. I love the point system, and I did mine just online. Didn't want to deal with trying to get to a meeting, although I think that might have helped it go faster.
You can do it - I used lots of Lean Cuisines mixed with frozen veggies all microwaved together. And I totally would exercise for the extra point.
here is a great web site that has WW recipes. she puts all the points per serving on ever recipe she posts. i havent tried any but i am on WW as well :) i lost 5lbs my first week and have kept it off even tho i didnt go for 3weeks

Good for you... I started Weight Watchers in 2008, when my son was 1. It took me 2 years, but I lost 115 pounds and became a lifetime member... then I got pregnant last January, and had my daughter in Sept... I gained a lot of weigt during my pregnancy (stress!) and now I'm working to get back to goal ... need to lose 40 pounds. You are not alone... we can do this!
I've followed your blog for a really long time & wanted to wish you & your family a very happy new year!
Best of luck with all of your resolutions! :)
Girl,
I have to say you have come a long way and it looks like you are doing amazing and there is a light about that is even brighter then it was when I first started reading your Blog. I am so happy for you and your family and I can't believe CC is over a year old now. I haven't gotten on here in a long time and am amazed at how time flys. God has truly blessed you and you can accomplish anything you set your heart and mind to. Have a wonderful new year!
