If there was one thing Charlie was passionate about, it was the desire to learn, the quest for education and his love for respiratory therapy. We want a future student in the Respiratory Care program to be able to have that chance that Charlie was so passionate about for many years to come.

Hugs and prayers for you and your family...what a special guy. I sat here pouring over what you wrote about the life of your brother, I shared it with my mom and twin brothers who are 26 this month. and we wept for you. I have a brother named Charles as well and I grieve deeply for you. I can't get over the fact that Charlie was a year and a half older than me..I'll be 21 next month. His life reminds us all to hold each day as sacred, beautiful, valuable and love with all we have, be kind to our family, and be all we can be. I thank you for sharing your brother with all of us in the blogging world and giving us a reminder of how we need to live our lives!
Oh, my gosh, Ashley....I was out of town and came back to this news and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I can't even imagine. My brother is the only boy with three sisters as well, so I know exactly the relationship you had with Charlie. I'm so, so, so sorry and can't express how sad I am for your family. HUGS.

I was a good friend of Charlies in high school at LSHS. Charlie was an amazing person and he will be dearly missed by eveyone. I will be flying to Maryland tomorrow but I will be making a donation to Edison State College in memory of Charlie. I would also like to ask permission to add this info onto my facebook page if that is alright with the family.
