Through the Lens

Boy am I glad I picked up my camera today and decided to get back into photography. I have a senior session booked next week so I figured it wouldn't hurt to drag my sister around town and practice. So here's what we came up with. Enjoy.

I have a few special ones we took at the marina today. I plan on sharing those as soon as I get them edited. You all know how much I love my nautical theme.

Have I mentioned how hard it is hearing co-workers talk about all their new pictures of their kids. They are all sharing new 6 month pictures and 5-6 year old pics- doesn't matter the age. They get all excited when they show each other-like they should, and then I just sit there, listening and dying inside to show my picture. But no one will bother to ask, why would they? They have already seen every picture I have. It just hurts, a lot.

The pictures you posted are beautiful... I totally understand about not having any new pictures to show... I didn't take my camera to the hospital and now, I'm disappointed that I never got to take pictures of my little man... I have pictures but they're not mine so it's just not the same...

I love the shot of your sis on the bench...you are a very talented photographer!!aI know that it's tough to sit and politely listen to other moms gush about their children, but you can always show me pics of Nolan. I marvel at that strong little guy everytime you post a pic of him. So post away, I'll look (=

Those are beautiful pictures! I know what you mean. It hurts to hear anyone talk about their kids at all sometimes, no matter what the age. I'll never be able to talk about it and that makes me sad. (((HUGS)))

What beautiful pictures!
I am sorry that you don't have any new pictures to show off. I know it hurts. I have a niece who is only 10 days older than Sami. Seeing her pictures hurts me to much. Sounds so cruel but I still have not gotten myself to come around her yet. I am so glad my brother understands me.

Sending you many hugs. I hope one day you are blessed with a rainbow. I am sure Nolan wants that for you.

Ashley, those photos are amazing - i am just beginning out in the world of dslr and seeing other peoples work is an endless source of inspirtation..

i am sorry u have to listen to people go on about babies.. i had a work colleague who was due in march - i was due in december - and shes just had her baby.. and my heart broke to hear it was a little girl... somehow i feel it would have been better for me if she had a boy! thats selfish i know.. i have taken to employing the services of my ipod when people enter our office and start talking about kids.. i hope they understand that its not that im not interested.. it just breaks my heart to hear about it.

I love your pictures! I wish I lived in Florida, not only for the weather, but also so you could do a shoot for me!
